Most meetings are currently being held at the Lakewood Retirement Community (in either the Lakewood Clubhouse Auditorium or in the Simms Center.) The Lakewood Retirement Community is located at 1900 Lauderdale Dr in Henrico, VA 23238.
You will enter at a gatehouse directly across from the intersection of John Rolfe Parkway and Lauderdale Dr. As you enter, please tell the gate attendant you are coming to a daylily meeting (auditorium or Simms Center…) You will receive a visitors pass from the attendant to place on your dash while attending the meeting.
– Lakewood Clubhouse Auditorium directions:
As you drive past the cottages on the right you will see a sign for visitor parking. The large building you see past the stop sign is the Club House. Enter this building and go down the first hall on the left. The auditorium is located at the end of the hall.
– Simms Center at Lakewood directions:
After entering the retirement community, please proceed forward until you reach the stop sign in front of the Clubhouse. Make a left at this stop sign, and proceed around the outer road past the Health Center on the right side. There will be a parking lot on the left hand side shortly after you pass the Health Center, and you will see signage directly across from the parking lot entrance pointing to the road leading to the Simms Center. (THIS parking lot is the parking area for the Simms Center.) A slight walk uphill following the road as it bends to the left will lead you to the Simms Center. As you enter the building, the Simms Center Auditorium is located just down the main hallway on your right.
NOTE: The Simms Center is located sightly uphill on the first road to the right after the Health Center. If you need to drop off items at the door prior to parking, you can drive up the road to the front of the building, but please do not leave your car parked in this road or area as it there isn’t any permitted parking area other than the aforementioned parking lot at the bottom of the road.
